Text 9 Nov oh…

Wow. That’s my second post that had to do with public bathrooms.

Text 9 Nov 2 notes Awkward Realization

I consider myself to be a pretty tall person.  At six foot three I tower over many of my friends.  Which I have to admit at times is amusing, especially when a woman in a store who I have never met before taps my arm and asks me to grab something for her from a top shelf (true story).  However I realized the other day that there is one uncomfortable issue to deal with when being tall, aside from the coordination problems.  I was in the bathroom the other day washing my hands in the sink after I spilled iced tea at my lunch table.  When I was drying off my hands I stumbled and bumped against a bathroom stall.  Now and average bathroom stall is a good four or five inches shorter than I am so my head sticks above them.  This made me realize that if someone had been in the stall I bumped into it would have looked like I was looking over the barrier into the stall.  Goodness that would have been awkward.  So I have come to the conclusion that whenever I am near a bathroom stall I will keep my head down in order to avoid an awkward situation…unless someone outside of the stall sees me crouching next to it. That would be equally as awkward.  I’m done.

Asparagus.  It tastes bad and you get nothing from it other than a potentially embarassing moment in a public restroom.

Text 29 Oct You Know What I Hate?

I hate United States History classes.  There is nothing more boring than learning about happened to this “great and powerful country” and how we overcame all of the obstacles we faced from the year 1776 to now.  Don’t get me wrong, I can see learnig it once, twice, or maybe three times in my education from the age of about nine to when i graduate college.  However, learning the same bullshit year after year in fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and now ELEVENTH GRADE is ridiculous.  I can’t wait to take AP European History next year. That is all.

Text 24 Oct 2 notes You Know What’s a Catchy Song?

Miley Cyrus has done it again.  First it was “See You Again” and now she has come out with “Party in the USA”.  These are two depressingly catchy songs and I actualy feel like a bad person for enjoying them.  But dammit they are good for some toe tapping.  Thinking about “See You Again” triggers some nostalgia.  About a year ago Connor, Bryelle, Joey, and I were on our way home from a Blue Claws game and the only two songs we played in the car were “Shake It” by Metrostation and “See You Again” by Miley Cyrus.  Good times.  That’s why I love my friends.

Text 19 Oct The Reasoning for the Title of this Blog

I know the word “scrawlings” doesn’t make sense when everything on this is clearly typed, but “Typings of a Madman” just doesn’t sound as cool.

Text 19 Oct 1 note Why I Like That Quote

I’m a weirdo and like to analyze things that are hard to make sense of.  I think it’s fun.  That’s why I love pretty much every quote by Albert Einstein.  They make you think.  I like thinking.  But what I thought was different about this particular quote was that it required no additional thinking.  The meaning behind it is quite clear.  There are four things that human beings are gifted with that allow us to accomplish almost anything we want…besides teleportation and human flight…but that’s not the point.  I like this quote because it’s encouraging and happy without really sounding like either of those things.  I’m encouraging and happy but most people don’t know this.  Maybe Stephen R. Covey and I have something in common.  I wouldn’t know since I have no idea who the hell he is and I found this quote in my homework planner at school.  I’ve been writing for a lot longer than I thought I would so I’ll finish now.  I feel like I just wrote a body paragraph to an English essay.  I like this whole blog thing.
